Biography:
Last Dance were one of the many short-lived acts in the early 4AD stable. Their discography consisted of one lone song, the seven-minute "Malignant Love." A rambling form of doomy post-punk in the vein of Siouxsie and the Banshees, it was released on 4AD`s Presage(s) compilation in 1980. The compilation featured Modern English and obscuros like Spasmodic Caress and Psychotik Tanks. When the label reissued Natures Mortes -- their previously Japanese-only sampler dating from 1981 -- they included some of the tracks from Presage(s), including the Last Dance entry. The band consisted of vocalist/keyboardist Soozy Bowler, bassist PPP, and guitarist Phil Roberts.
